With the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance->ke2839 just around the corner, time has come to have a look at what this year's edition of the world-renowned event has to offer. The charitable event has drawn huge interest ever since it was established in 1950, and the 2014 edition will be no exception. Automakers like McLaren->ke284, Jaguar Land Rover, BMW->ke178 and Aston Martin->ke13 have already confirmed their presence with outstanding, brand-new vehicles, but each and every important manufacturer will hit California to showcase their latest products. Global debuts and North American debuts, this year's Pebble Beach will have them all.

Besides the latest automobiles ranging from lightning-fast supercars->ke177 to practical SUVs->ke145 and bespoke rigs, the event will be packed with classic cars spread across different eras. Bentleys->ke15, Duesenbergs->ke1144 and Bugattis->ke16, one rarer than the other, will be displayed across the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links. As with each year, the Pebble Beach Concours the d'Elegance will donate all proceedings to various local and national organizations. The event has given nearly $20 million to charities throughout the years, and this tradition will continue in 2014.

This year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is certain to be a blast. It's set to take place on August 17th, 2014, but several events, such as the Pebble Beach Auctions and the Tour d'Elegance, are scheduled a few days earlier, on August 13th and 14th, respectively. Make sure you don't miss our coverage and, in the meantime, check out our comprehensive preview below the brake.

McLaren P1 GTR

The McLaren P1 GTR is by far the most anticipated debut hosted by the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The iconic GTR nameplate returns to pay tribute to the F1 GTR race car that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans back in 1995. As the name suggests, it will be a track-prepped supercar->ke177 based on the stunning P1, a hybrid vehicle that represents the pinnacle of McLaren engineering and motorsport expertise.

Expect the GTR to resemble the already familiar P1, but look out for massive body modifications, including an aggressive body kit and extreme aerodynamics. Track-spec upgrades will also include a revised suspension system and an uprated drivetrain capable of 968 horsepower, 83 ponies more than the road-legal supercar. Production will be "strictly limited", according to McLaren, while availability will be restricted to P1 owners. No P1, no GTR!

Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider

The 458 Speciale Spider is still a relative mystery for now and Ferrari has yet to confirm it officially, but word has it dealerships are already contacting trusted, prospective buyers to put together a list of preorders. Rumors also suggest the sports car is set to make its debut at Pebble Beach, which would make sense given the event's prestigious image.

Developed as an upgrade for the 458 Italia Spider, the Speciale Spider will share its underpinning and engine with the Speciale Coupe. Expect for the noisy V-8 unit to deliver the same 596 horses and 398 pound-feet of torque and push the Prancing Horse from naught to 60 mph in only three seconds.

BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept

Not exactly a global debut, the BMW Vision Future Luxury concept definitely deserves a special place at Pebble Beach. Introduced at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show->ke2062, the study previews the next-generation 7 Series->ke323 and possibly a larger, 9 Series model scheduled to arrive sometime in 2016. The large four-door blends styling cues previously seen on the Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe concept and brand-new design lines, while the interior showcases a more revolutionary approach. Granted, this is a vehicle worth checking out if you're attending this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster

McLaren isn't the only British company traveling to Pebble Beach. Aston Martin is also joining the event to introduce the V-12 Vantage Roadster S. Essentially a drop-top version of the enticing V-12 Vantage S, the Roadster arrives in California with 565 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque under its long hood. All that oomph comes from the company's proven, 5.9-liter, V-12 engine, which enables the convertible to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and up to a top speed of 201 mph.

Jaguar F-Type Project 7

Jaguar is yet another British manufacturer to join Pebble Beach. The Coventry-based automaker is likely to draw a lot of attention, as its main exhibit is the F-Type Project 7. Launched during the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the production version of the Project 7 concept takes center stage as the quickest and most powerful, road-legal Jaguar->ke39 ever built. It pays tribute to the seven outright Le Mans victories scored by Jag between 1951 and 1990 and borrows styling cues from the iconic D-Type racer.

The Project 7 is fitted with the same supercharged, 5.0-liter, V-8 engine found in the F-Type R Coupe, but output has been increased to 567 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque, which accounts for a 25-pony improvement. Numerous chassis improvement enable this special-edition F-Type to be quite nimble on the track. Only 250 units will be built, meaning we won't get to see too many of them in the United States.

Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR

Another cool vehicle joining Pebble Beach from Jaguar Land Rover is the Range Rover Sport SVR. Much like the F-Type Project 7, the Sport SVR is the most powerful and nimble Range Rover ever built. JLR has been quite the busy bee with launching new, outstanding products this year, and the SVR is as spectacular as it gets. The SUV->ke145 will arrive with no less than 542 horsepower on tap, coming from the company's tried-and-true 5.0-liter, V-8 engine with a supercharger on top. The 0-to-60 mph benchmark is expected to drop to around 4.3 seconds with plenty of track potential to be had, thanks to a tweaked suspension.

Jaguar Lightweight E-Type Prototype

As with each edition, this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance will be packed with classic cars. One of them, however, will be a bit more special. We're talking about the 2014 Jaguar Lightweight E-Type, a true classic sports car built in the 21st century. Unlike other similar vehicles -- say Morgans -- the Lightweight E-Type is actually the same vehicle built in the 1960s, but assembled in 2014.

Specifically, the Brits have decided to make use of the remaining designated chassis numbers and construct six more Lightweight E-Types 50 years after the original example left the factory. The sports cars will be put together to their original specifications and fitted with the same 3.8-liter, straight-six engine available decades ago. Now that's something we're anxious to find out more about.

McLaren P1 By MSO

Earlier we mentioned about how excited we are about the P1 GTR race car that's set to be unveiled in California. Well, that won't be the only McLaren hitting the Pebble Beach show. The Brits are also bringing a bespoke P1 supercar crafted by McLaren Special Operations. Adorned by custom features inside and out, the P1 by MSO is the most exclusive McLaren supercar available from the company. The powertrain remains unchanged, but that's far from being disappointing given the 903 horses coming from the hybrid unit.

McLaren 650S Spider By MSO

The second MSO-modified McLaren to stop at Pebble Beach is the 650S Spider. The smallest offering from McLaren - until the entry-level P13 arrives - is finished using the same recipe. Minor interior modifications, a bespoke paintjob and no engine upgrades. It's uniqueness, however, is nothing to sneeze at, especially with only 50 different units scheduled to hit the assembly line.
