Speculations have been running wild as of late in regards to the sixth-generation Mustang->ke428, and one of the biggest unknowns that has been speculated upon is its reveal date. Well, speculate no longer TopSpeed faithful, as Ford->ke31 has backhandedly announced the 2015 Mustang's reveal date: December 5th, 2014.

That's right, the above video, which you can find on the Mustang YouTube channel, doesn't reveal too much, but the video's description sure does clear up the date issue. The first line reads "On December 5th, Ford will take the cover off the all-new Mustang..." Mark the date, ladies and gentlemen, because this is the date that we find out if Ford will repeat the Mustang II remake or if it will be the model's savior, like the Fox Body generation.

For you drama kings and queens that just can't get enough speculation on the new Mustang, you can rest easy because Ford released no information on the new Stang, nor did it announce where it will unveil the sixth-gen Mustang. This gives us plenty to speculate on for the next 17 days...

2015 Ford Mustang

Speculation is still a big part of the new Mustang, but we do know that it will hit the market in time to celebrate the models 50th birthday. We have also learned that it will gain an independent rear axle, ditching the archaic live-axle setup, and that it will get a more global design.

Under its hood, the 2015 Mustang will initially come with the same engine lineup as the 2014 model, but over the course of the year a new EcoBoost 2.3-liter engine and a few hot V-8s will roll into the restyled body.
