2017 Alfa Romeo from the mind of a young designer

  news

So what if 2017 is still seven years from now; some people just have vivid imaginations. Jacob McMurry is one designer that isn’t afraid to experiment with his works and his latest creation – a rendering of a 2017 Alfa Romeo – is clearly no exception.

Described as someting in the range of what should be Aston Martin’s top-of-the-line model, McMurry’s design - he calls it the 2017 Alfa Romeo Executive Fastback Saloon - has ‘futuristic’ written all over it. The car’s overall shape is unique in its own right, especially the tail, which, according to McMurry was inspired by the gondolas of Venice. The ‘sliced’ hood in the front end, as well as the clear glass roof that goes all the way to the rear are a few more examples of McMurry’s rather unorthodox design.

The good thing about designing a car for a calendar year that’s a long way from the present is that you can go bananas with your design. While we’ve seen some pretty good ones in the past, Jacob McMurry’s take on this 2017 Alfa Romeo could have been one of them if it wasn’t for the gondola-looking rear end, which, to be honest, is just completely out of place.

Is this really a work of a young designer? I think a professional designer crated this concept. The concept is good, but it’s some kind of weird.

The front view of the car really look more futuristic but I don’t like the back design of car inspired by gondolas in Venice. But for a young designer its an excellent work of art.

It looks so exotic on its front design, and it is really strange on that design. Well, I also wonder if what will be its interior will look like? I hope that the driver could still breathe inside it. smiley

Well, that young designer is really so creative! It truly looks very strange and unique on that, and I wonder he/she also designed its interior and what will it be looked like?

It really looks so confusing and very strange on its platform design, and I wonder if what will be the interior of this one will look like? Anyway, I could say that it was still impressive on its futuristic touch.

It’s like a cocoon! I’m confused with the design though it is really unique. I must say that this is the first time that I saw that kind of car. However, he must really a genius.

It really had a great impact on combining the red, white and black colors. The head lights might be clever but the exterior for the back is awesome.

It is just a concept so don’t be rude. By the way, the design of the car looks unique. Probably, it will get more eyes. The designer at his young age is great and in the near future, he will surely be.  However, Alfa Romeo still needs to focus on their other versions for a bigger production.

Yeah, its kind of a waste of time and effort! I don’t think that Alfa Romeo would make this one into production. IMO,they haven’t perfect the performance of the Zagato, what more for this car?
