Mercedes->ke187 just dropped details on the refreshed CLA a week before its big debut in New York. The changes are minimal, but do include a few tweaks to the styling, plus new amenities for the cabin.

Let’s start with the exterior, where both the sedan->ke142 and shooting brake model receive new bumpers, a standard black diamond grille, and new wheels. Silver, chrome, or black trim can be found on the nose, while the rear can be optioned with a selection of trim between the bumper-integrated exhaust tips. There’s also a new exterior paint option (cavansite blue metallic), plus five different 18-inch wheel designs, including a new five-spoke roller from AMG.->ke8 LED headlights are available.

Convenience features include a hands-free loading system, and AMG models even get an optional trailer hitch.

Inside, there are new upholstery options, such as a beige/black leather combo, while the interior trim gets finishes like a sail-look, black ash wood, black microfiber, and honeycomb aluminum. There are also chrome-plated controls, new dials and needles for the gauges, and enhanced smartphone connectivity. Infotainment is routed through a new, slimmer 8-inch display screen.

The CLA’s various drivetrains are unchanged in the refresh. Eco warriors will enjoy the CLA 180 d BlueEfficiency Edition, which has a 109-horsepower engine that emits just 89 g/km of CO2, while those looking for something sportier should check out the AMG model, which ups the aggressive styling outside and incorporates 381 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque under the hood.

The 2017 CLA Coupe will make its debut at the New York International Auto Show next week, while the Shooting Brake version will debut during the Laureus World Sports Awards in Berlin this April. Order books will open in April, with deliveries commencing in July.
