Few months ago there were rumors that the Audi RS4 will be discontinued and replaced by the RS6. In the end, it turn to be just a false rumor. Audi will present a redesigned RS4 sometime in 2008, after the next A4 will be unveiled
The 2008 RS4 will be powered by a more powerful engine with an output of 450 hp. This means a very big challenge for the 420 hp of the BMW M3 and the C63 AMG.
Until the new RS4 will be unveiled, Audi will bring a convertible version on the US market limited to only 300 units. It will be powered by a 420-horse/317-pound-foot 4.2-liter FSI V-8 engine mated with a six-speed manual gearbox.
