80 Ferraris converge in Sundern, Germany for Capristo Day 2009

It’s not that often when a sleepy town gets the wake-up call of a lifetime. And by wake-up call, we’re not talking about alarm clocks or roosters. We’re talking about Prancing Horses.

That’s what the folks of Sundern, Germany found out when they woke up and saw about 80 Ferraris roaring in and out of their otherwise small town. But the Ferraris – not to mention a few Lamborghinis and Maseratis – did have a reason for visiting Sundern, and it was through an invitation extended by Antonio Capristo, owner of the locally-based Capristo Exhaut Systems.

It turns out, Capristo invited all of these cars to his town to celebrate, well, Capristo Day 2009. What that means, we don’t know.

But what we do know is that Capristo had a hand in outfitting these Ferraris with his custom-made exhaust systems, which according to the man himself, has the capacity to change the sound of the exhaust while the car is throttling it up the autobahn.

As far as the townfolk of Sundern are concerned, never in their wildest dreams would they have anticipated seeing a stable of Prancing Horses in their small town.

That is, of course, until they woke up.
