920 2011-12 Audi R8 Spyders recalled for fuel leak

"Errare humanum est!"

To err is human and since cars are built by humans, it’s quite normal to experience mistakes now and then. Even great cars like the Audi R8 Spyder fall privy to recalls and that’s exactly what’s happening now. As of August 22, 2011, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is recalling the 920 R8 Spyder models due to a fuel leak that may lead to a vehicle fire.

"The fuel supply line may contact and rub against the heat shield in the engine compartment," said NHTSA. "This could lead to a small fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a vehicle fire."

The first complaint came to Volkswagen on June 6, 2011, when a customer announced that he felt a fuel smell after refilling the Audi R8 Spyder.

If you own a 2011-12 Audi R8 Spyder, call Audi at 1-800-822-2834 to have the fuel line inspected and replaced, if necessary.

Yeah! It was really to risky and fearsome issue. I hope that Audi would fix it and this time they should make sure that there’s no fuel leak issue on its next production.

When you are riding with this type of vehicle, the safety of the one who’s riding on it is the top priority. Good know that Audi come up with this idea, thumbs up to Audi!

That was a very risky issue, good thing there were no reports of some incidents because of the fuel leaks of Audi R8 Spider cars.

Wow! I love the design of this car.. I seldom see cars in brown color maybe because automakers are very careful in best colors for their creation and let’s admit it, brown is not that attractive.. The maker of this car is really brave to use brown as their car’s color. However, it’s a great choice of color!

Basically, it is just a common problem for cars. Everyone of us commits mistakes, so it is not a reason not to trust Audi. As far as I remember, it is the first time that Audi had this problem. Well, better check your Audi Spyder right away to avoid fire.

Hell! Honestly, when they have first revealed the car, I really got excited. But now, no more! I’m really disappointed on this production since I want to purchase one of this Spyder version. I do hope that they can fix this problem immediately.

Oh no!I just remember on how Audi makes us drool over the Spyder version of Audi R8! And now, here it is pulled out because of fuel leak. I’m afraid that this will stained the good reputation of this car manufacturer.
