Alfa Romeo will present at the beginning of 2007,in March a special version of the 159 model.
At the Geneva Motor Show the sport version of 159, Tourisme Internationale will be revealed by the italian carmaker.
The Ti is a well known simbol for Alfa Romeo.
For many years is the mark for exclusivity and sportiness.In the last years the acronym has served to denote high-end specification trim pacages on model such as the Alfa 145,146,147,156,166.
The Alfa 159 TI has a new sport pack at the exterior, for a strong visual identity.
This pack include a body kit with deeper sill mouldings, a upgrated sport suspension wich is lowered by 20mm, Brebo brake calipers which are finished in red color, large 19-inch diameter alloy wheel with 235/40 tyres, many logos with the TI badging, and a new exahaust rear box with new tailpipes.
On the inside of the Alfa 159 the pack will add sport seats with red Alfa Romeo logos stitched in, specifically darker aluminium centre console and gearlever console surface finish inserts; grooved aluminium pedal covers and footrest plate, leather steering wheel and gearknob; a new more sporty design of the dashboard instruments; black interior roof panel, electric rear windows, and a bi-zone automatic air conditioning.
The Alfa 159 TI has as a rival the audi S-line trim package for the A4,and the M-sport option kit for the 3-series.
The Tourisme Internationale pack will be available with a range of engines: the 2.2 JTS 185 bhp; 2.2 JTS 185 bhp Selespeed; 3.2 V6 Q4 260 bhp; and 3.2 V6 Q4 260 bhp Q-tronic petrol models; and 1.9 JTDM 150 bhp ; 1.9 JTDM.
A improved 210 bhp 2.4 JTDM engine with 6-speed transmission,will be introduced on the market later.
