Although the Alfa Romeo Giulia QV's market launch has been delayed by six months, that didn't stop the Italian automaker from firing up the sedan's U.S. configurator. According to a recent report, the car's European launch has been six months to mid 2016, which means that the Giulia QV->ke5222 won't arrive in U.S. dealerships any sooner than autumn 2016. That's about ten months from now, which is quite a lot of time with Alfa Romeo->ke1386 enthusiasts waiting to storm showrooms with a fat checks in their wallets. But, it gives them enough time to have a closer look at the car's options, and configure the Giulia QV->ke3472 of their dreams.

The new configurator allows potential buyers (and curious gearheads alike) to browse through the car's exterior colors, wheel and brake caliper options, and interior trim. The exterior section also provides a 360-degree look at the vehicle to those eager to see how the sedan->ke142 looks from several angles in a certain exterior configuration.->ke4840

Exterior Colors

Alfa Romeo will offer seven exterior colors for the Giulia QV. The palette isn't exactly varied as four of those hues are red or silver/gray, but it does include a few interesting shades. First up is Rosso Alfa, a red hue similar to those offered in the past and seen on the majority of classic Alfa Romeos. Those looking for something a bit more modern, can go with Rosso Competizione Tri-Coat, a brighter red with metallic accents. Fans of gray paint jobs can pick between the lighter Silverstone Gray Metallic or the darker Vesuvio Gray Metallic. Naturally, the Giulia QV can also be had in white and black. The former goes by the name Trofeo White Tri-Coat and has a pearlescent touch, while the latter is called Vulcano Black Metallic and is as dark as they get. Finally, there's Montecarlo Blue Metallic for those looking for something that's both classy and sporty.

Wheels

There are two types of rims to choose from, each offered in two colors. First up is the Tecnico five-spoke design with V-shaped spokes and finished in Light Aluminum, which is actually silver. The same wheels can be had in Dark Aluminum, which appears to be black. The second set of wheels feature Alfa's iconic five-hole design and can also be selected in silver and black. All rims measure 19 inches in the front and rear. The Tecnico Light Aluminum rollers are standard, while the remaining three are options.

Brake Calipers

All Giulia QVs come with red brake calipers as standard, but can be equipped with either black or yellow units with a tick on the options list. The availability of three hues for the calipers will enable drivers to add a splash of color to the car depending on their exterior color of choice or create a menacing, all-black sedan. Speaking of stopping power, Alfa offers an optional Brembo carbon-ceramic brake system that consists of 15.4-inch discs with six-piston calipers at the front and 14.2-inch discs with four-piston calipers to the rear.

Interior

In this preliminary configurator, the Giulia QV has five interior combos. All of them feature black leather and Alcantara, but have different stitching and dashboard and door panel trim. Three of them are all black, with the main difference being the stitching that runs on the upper section of the dashboard (the configurator doesn't show other areas of the interior for now). The stitching can be either red, black or green and white. If all-black interiors don't get you excited, Alfa Romeo offers white (Ice) or red trim on the lower dashboard and door panels. The white version has green and white stitching, while the red variant has red stitching.

Interior options for the Giulia QV include carbon-fiber Sparco racing seats for both the driver and front passenger. For the trunk, you can opt for cargo hooks with cargo net.
