Although the Essen Motor Show finished over a week ago, occasionally we find a few cars that slip through the cracks. Unusually we wouldn't bother posting pics about new wheels on a car that has been out of production for over a decade, But this is different. There are less than ten Ascari Ecosse still out there, so spotting one is a rare sight.

So what makes the the Ecosse so special? It's powered by a 300 hp 4.4 liter V8 or a 400 hp 4.7-liter both sourced from BMW. When equipped with the latter engine, the lightweight Ecosse can make the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 4.1 seconds and can hit a top speed of 200 mph. While this car may seem impressive, it was just the launching pad for Ascari's superfast KZ1.
