Aston Martin AMVOX7 Chronograph by Jaeger-LeCoultre

Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin are celebrating eight years of partnership with the unveiling of the AMVOX7 - the first vertical-trigger chronograph equipped with a power reserve display. As usual, exclusivity comes with a quite a big price: $26,000.

The watch features design elements seen on the latest Aston Martin models. For example, its dial was inspired by the radiator grille of the Vanquish . As a first for Jaeger-LeCoultre watches, the AMVOX introduces an intuitive display method that is in perfect accord with the sensation of immediacy conferred by a sporting outlook and the power reserve display. You will have to release the lever to unlock the glass, and then press at 12 o’clock to start or stop the timing function. Pressing at 6 o’clock will reset the time.

The watch is equipped with a Jaeger-LeCoultre 756 automatic mechanical caliber with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 65-hour power reserve. The comparison between the AMVOX’s "motor" to that of the new Aston Martin Vanquish is inevitable.

good expensive car => good expensive watch. rich people can have both, poor ones can’t have either.

a 150.000$ + car had to have a 26.000$ watch. it only seams fair.

for those who think this watch is expensive, there are 5$ watches that do roughly the same thing: show you the time!

does the phrase "the first vertical-trigger chronograph equipped with a power reserve display" make this watch sound cheap? didn’t think so either!

the watch is a great one! it matches the car perfectly!

thanks! maybe i’ll succeed! who knows?

brad has a point. it’s not like this is the only watch out there and you are forced to sell one kidney to have a watch.

it is more than clear that the target audience for this watch is a very select one. stop complaining about rather having a car instead of the watch.

good luck on fitting the GTI to your wrist, john!

i’d rather have a golf gti than this watch!

they said something very true: exclusivity comes at a steep price!

for whoever has the money, that is a great watch. i’m ok with my tissot (which i do not find cheap either, but compared to this one it’s a bag of chips)

i think jenny is right. the car is well above 100.000$, so the watch had to be expensive too.

this is the kind of watch that people who think 100.000$ is change would get. the simple association with aston martin vanquish proves that.

i love the new aston martin. i am not a big fan of watches, but i love good cars!

but to what kind of people is this watch aimed?

i think that both product presented here are amazing: the watch and the car also!

gabe, this watch is not aimed at people who would rather get a car for that money.

i think this watch is too expensive. i mean, you can get a good car for that kind of money!
