Aston Martin announced the extra-limited edition One-77. And even if its priced at $1.9 million the company already received 100 orders for the supercar. But the big dilemma is that the One-77 will be limited to only 77 units, so who will be the 23 ones that will not get their exclusive Aston Martin? (Anyone smell a Highlander-like showdown for the British supercar?)
Chief designer Marek Reichmann said interest in the car had been ‘incredible’. Buyers have reportedly put down a £200,000 deposit for the car with deliveries to start in autumn of 2009.
The One-77 will be powered by naturally aspired front-mounted mid-engine 7.3-liter V12 engine that delivers over 700 hp and a peak torque of 750Nm (553 ft lbs). The engine is mated to a 6 speed ASM/SSM Automated Manual Transmission.
