Forbes is a business magazine with a penchant for the good life.  And for lists.  Every year it publishes provocative lists about lifestyle subjects.

The latest is the “Wheels Women Melt Over.”  As the magazines website, Forbes.com, says: “A babe magnet can be a car or even a truck.”  It notes that [they’re usally expensive and therefore exclusive; sporty; never boring.” ... “A babe magnet’s effectiveness depends on different tastes, even different locations.  But most of all, it depends on the woman.”

Here’s the list:

  1. Aston Martin DB9.  “James Bond Babe Magnet.”   $162,050.  Until the DBS comes out.
  2. Bentley Continental GT.  “Upwardly Mobil Babe Magnet.”   $169,990.  “As at home in front of the manse as it is at the club.”
  3. Cadillac Escalade.  “Bold and Brazen Babe Magnet.”  Starts at $55,570.  “As bling on wheels as you can get.”
  4. Dodge Magnum SRT9.  “Suburban Babe Magnet.”  Starts at $38,345.  “You’re not alone if you find something weird about a station wagon as a babe magnet, but for the right woman, it might do the trick.”
  5. Ferrari 612 Scaglietti.  “Rodeo Drive Babe Magnet.”  Starts at $260,969.  “Just about any Ferrari is a babe magnet.”
  6. Lamborghini Gallardo.  “Las Vegas Babe Magnet.”  Starts at $178,550.  You can rent one by the Vegas airport, but “just remember the car you rent in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas.”
  7. Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG.  “Beach Babe Magnet.”  Starts at $186,000.  “The ultimate babe magnet for a trip to the seashore...  with the retractable aluminum top down, you can work on your tan.”
  8. Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe.  “Car Nut Babe Magnet.”  Starts at $122,900.  “Paul Newman (a walking babe magnet) raced one at LeMans in 1979.”
  9. Supercharged Range Rover Sport.  “Horse Country Babe Magnet.”  Starts at $71,250.  “Like a Range Rover, only better.”
  10. Toyota Prius.  “Green Babe Magnet.”  Touring Edition starts at $23,070.  “It’s rated at 55 mpg, and that’s sexy to green babes.”

Forbes does not, however, answer the question of why – if it takes a Prius to do it – one would want to attract a “green babe.”
