Audi S4 to be unveiled at the Paris Auto Show

Audi will unveil the hot S4 sedan this autumn at the Paris Motor Show. It will be powered by a new supercharged V6 petrol engine producing around 350bhp.

The future S4 will feature the new S-tronic gearbox that weights 142kg - around 40 kilos more than the six-speed manual. However, performance is actually faster with the twin-clutch ’box and emissions are lower, too.

The 2009 S4 will make the 0 to 60 mph sprint in less than six seconds and will hit a top speed of 155 mph (electronically limited).

Sales will begin in early 2009. The S4 will be offered as sedan, station wagon and convertible. A RS4 version will also debut in 2009.
