After making its world debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, the seventh generation Chevrolet Corvette->ke4579 will also making an appearance during the upcoming Super Bowl, but not in an official ad. Chevrolet->ke199 will not buy time during the game, but will simply present a one-off, hand-built 2014 Corvette on the 50-yard line during the halftime show.

The Corvette will then be presented to the pop star, Beyonce. This way she will become the first celebrity to drive the new Corvette.

This looks like a pretty wise move, as Chevrolet will essentially get free advertising for the C7 Corvette. It’s even wiser considering the fact that the average 30-second ad spot during the Super Bowl is anticipated to run about $4 million.

We are just wondering if Beyonce will be able to handle such a powerful sports car. As a reminder, the C7 Corvette will be powered by a new LT1 Gen V engine delivers at least 450 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 450 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm.
