BMW 5-Series Diesel coming in US by 2009

BMW will bring the X5 3.0d with its 3.0 liter direct injection diesel engine in USA by mid-2008. Also, the 5-series diesel will arrive in the US showrooms by 2009. Both 530d and 535d, that will be available in USA will have a inline 6-cylinder engines.

The BMW 530d does 0-60mph in 6.8 seconds with a fuel economy of 42.2 mpg. The BMW 535d, on the other hand, does 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds and has a fuel economy of 35.2 mpg.
