bmw 8-series coming back

BMW’s chief Norbert Reithofer has announced that they will bring back the 8-Series SportCoupe model, that was produced from 1990 to 1999. If will be launched the new 8-Series will compete with Porsche Panamera and Mercedes CLS-Class.

The 1990-1999 850/850i BMW models were powered by a V12 engine with an output of 300-326 hp and the 840i was powered by a V8 engine with an output 286 hp.

BMW already announced that they have identified a need for 6 kind of 6 series: one sport version and one luxury version. It is highly probable that the 6 will remain sporty and keep the M6 flagship, but the new luxury version could very well use the 8 series badge. Or as the design on top, it could also be a 4 door coupe to fight the Panamera but I personally doubt it
