BMW has plans to unveil a powerful version of the 1-Series Coupe sometime in 2008. According to Autobild, the M1 will be powered by the same engine used for the Z4M. With an output of 343 hp, the engine will help the model to make the 0 to 60 mph sprint in just 5.2 seconds and have a top speed of 173 mph. 3 comments: BMW M1 to debut in 2008 John Dae (6686) - Posted on 03.15.2008 I spoke with the BMW dealer, they mentioned a Dinan chip for the reguler 300 hp engine in the 335i that can boost it to almost 400hp for 2 grand...wouldn’t that be better than spending so much for an M car, any opinions, I’m debating on a 135i with a dinan chip booster or wait for the M1?
