BMW's future PAS will debut at 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show

BMW will unveil its future PAS (renderings by AutoBild) at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, while sales will begin shortly after.

With a length of 4.90 meter, the future PAS will be longer than the new X6 SUV. Placed between the 5 and the 7-Series, the future PAS will borrow the engines from the future 5-Series. It will be offered as a RWD model, but FWD will be offered as an option.

Power will start from 272 hp for the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine and will go up to 420 hp for the V8 version.

that is the biggest problem with the European car makers, they haven`t build to many hybrids. except a few types of cars, hatchbacks to be exact, the other ones are "drinking" to much fuel.

thanks kylle! i guess BMW is just making too much money that they just wanna waste it on useless crossovers. they’re about to have a rude awakening though when their sales will start going down due to all the oil price hikes since most of their cars eat a lot of gas.
they should concentrate on making battery or hybrid cars instead, but they probably wont until its too late.

you’re right timdog. i’m not a big fan of the BMW, but their last designs are horrible (it’s my opinion anyway), and in stead of concentrating on what they build best they are trying to make new car types: the Sport Activity Coupe and now this the Progressive Activity Sedan. why? what is wrong with the existing ones?

i love bmw like nothing else but sadly they simply have gone too far. this is just another useless crossover with no purpose except to show off. as great as the X6 is, it also is pretty stupid and useless. c’mon bmw, get back in the game, do what you do best...make the best sport sedans but do not go out of your sector!

that renderings look to much like the X6
