BMW announced pricing for the all-new X6 SUV that made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. The base price for xDrive35i is $52,500 and base price for XDrive50i is $63,000. The xDrive35i is powered by a 3.0 inline six-cylinder engine that delivers 300 hp, 300 lb.-ft torque. The xDrive50i is powered by a 4.4 V8 engine that delivers 400 hp and 450lb.-ft torque. Both are being offered with Twin Turbo and direct injection. The BMW X6 comes as standard with BMW’s intelligent xDrive all-wheel-drive technology with electronic control for variable distribution of drive power between the front and rear axles, consistently adjusted to driving conditions at all times and in all situations. I always thought the X5 was over priced. Now I have a new BMW to aim my derision at.
I really like the styling and this car appeals to me but at that price I guess it will have to stay somewhat exclusive - which is probably one ob BMW’s goals.
