Even though the German automaker BMW won’t be producing an M version of the new Z4 Roadster, however this doesn’t mean that they don’t see the need for a motor sport inspired retractable hard top. The solution that BMW came up with was to offer an all new M-Sport appearance package for the new car, and the first vehicle to benefit from the new high performance parts package is the Z4 sDrive35is and is set to make its debut this January in Detroit at the 2010 North American International Auto Show.

The M-Sport Z4 will be distinguished by more aggressive front fascia with larger air intakes as well as a new rear bumper with integrated diffuser out back. The high performance looking BMW will ride on a set of M wheels measuring 18 inches in diameter as well as a set of 19 inch alloys as an option. Finishing off the new car’s stance, BMW’s engineers have lowered the chassis by 10 mm in order to improve the Roadster’s handling as well as eliminate whatever fender gap used to be in between the rubber and sheet metal. On the inside, the M-Sport package will add an M series leather wrapped multifunction steering wheel as well as decorative M door sills and a set of hip hugging sport seats. Don’t worry if your lifestyle doesn’t permit parking a Roadster in your driveway, because BMW is planning on offering the M-Sport package for every model in their lineup.
