No one will ever know what it's like to walk a mile in Tiger Woods' shoes. But someone might soon find out what it's like to drive thousands of miles in Tiger's car.

General Motors Corp.'s Buick division said Monday it will launch a promotion this week that will give away a new Buick Lucerne CXS luxury sedan driven by Woods every time he wins a PGA Tour tournament this year.

Buick is calling it the "Tiger Wins, You Could Win" promotion, which begins with Woods' season debut at this week's Buick Invitational at La Jolla, Calif., and ends at the PGA Championship in August.

Each car, which will serve as Woods' personal courtesy car the week of the tournament, will be manufactured at GM's assembly plant in Hamtramck, according to Buick golf marketing manager Larry Peck.

The high-end cars have a suggested retail of about $40,260. Each car will be painted black and include 18-inch chrome wheels, a spoiler, a V-8 engine, heated and cooled seats and even heated windshield washer fluid, Peck said. Also, cars that are awarded will feature a commemorative plaque with Woods' signature.

"I'm happy to give away as many Lucernes as I can -- because that means I'm winning," Woods said in a released statement. "This year, I will have to be careful about leaving anything in the car after the tournament."

In the event Woods doesn't win a tournament in which he plays, there will a drawing for a trip for two to meet Woods and have a chance to win a car at Buick event in October at Los Angeles.

"Whenever he plays, somebody's going to win," Peck said by telephone Monday.

For the record, Woods won six PGA Tour events last season, including the Buick Invitational.
