Bye-bye Subaru Legacy wagon

Subaru is discontinuing the Legacy wagon. 
 
The idea is to end product confusion.
 
The Legacy and Outback have both been sold as sedans and wagons. For 2008, the Legacy will be a sedan. The Outback will be the wagon.
 
Subaru has concluded that buyers who considered the Outback wagon didn’t consider the Legacy wagon, and that the Outback and Legacy versions of the sedan appear indistinguishable. Figuring out where the Outback Sport fits into all of this exceeds the capacity of even the most astute buyer.
 
On that topic, Subaru says there’s going to be a new one, which will be based on the Impreza.
