Cadillac CTS

Cadillac is bringing about some nice new changes for their 2012 CTS luxury sports model with a new engine, grille, and a new Touring Package edition. With a look that is sporty and elegant, the CTS receives no major modifications to alter the exterior of the vehicle, but the changes that are being made will transfer along all versions of the CTS: Sedan, Wagon, and Coupe. Expect the 2012 CTS to arrive in late Summer 2011.

The new grille for the CTS will receive a revised version of its mesh and frame. Cadillac compares it to altering a photo to a higher resolution so that the details stand out that much more. The grille will also receive higher gloss finishes to further extend the look of the front of the car and the Wreath & Crest logo will get sharper colors and raised ridges between the colors for that 3D effect.

The most exciting news is the new V6 engine Cadillac is adding to its lineup. This V6 will provide 318 HP, up from the 304 HP for the current 3.6L V-6, but will maintain the same fuel economy of 18 city/27 highway. This was accomplished through a lighter, more efficient design of the engine.

The 2012 CTS will also get a new Touring Package edition. This edition will be available in both the 3.0L V6 and 3.6L V6 engines and will receive a dark finish, metal pedals, dark Sapele wood interior trim and sueded seat inserts, steering wheel, and shift knob. The Sedan and Wagon’s Touring Package will be a little different as it adds chrome door handles. The 3.6L version will have 19-inch polished wheels and Recaro 14-way adjustable performance seats. The 3.0L version will have 18-inch wheels with a pearl-nickel finish.

I think it’s a great car.why does the sedan look better than the coupe????

I cant believe that a high-end car is still using the outdated V6 technology. I mean its enough that they have called this car luxury lets stop on it and don’t dream of being a sportscar.

I don’t know if I’m going to laugh about the figure performance of this car. I don’t think that those figure is enough to be called a sports car.

Aside from the figure performance of this car, v6 technology is already outdated though I have to agree that it has an awesome design.

The good thing about the Cadillac is it always maintain the luxurious and aggressive on its car. However, for a sports car I think its kind of less powerful.

Wow, the new grill actually looks good. It fits rather neatly to the overall profile of the CTS. And it’s also a good news that they have ramped up the engine.
