Car clonning-Smart Fortwo

Perhaps you remaind of the Chinese carmaker ’Great Wall’, who take a look over yard at small European cars and came with the ’Peri’, a very close copy of the Fiat Panda.Then the Italian carmaker had instant possition when Fiat President, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo replied.

So a Chinese manufacturer presented during the Auto Show of Beijing an electric version of own development that had many characteristics -but we say that was practically a copy of the Smart ForTwo. 

Therefore weeks later, we can see the evolution of the gasoline variant carried out by another manufacturer, that will come in the market in 2007. With little esthetics differences and a slightly greater length, is clear that the inspiration has been again in a Smart, although this time in the model that will be put for sale in April. 

With a total length that aproach 3 meters and in principle with only two places, the new one SV6 will cost less than 6.000 € in China, what is not exactly little if we keep in mind that by that price in China we can acquire for example, a Citroën ZX 1.6i with 100 CV. 

If Smart will take a action considering the obvious similarity of this car we dont know but it seems very clear that the Chinese carmakers knows the secrets of car clonning.
