The League of Extraordinary Auto Spies - yeah, we made that up - are at it again and they have a new goldmine to show us: the 2012 Porsche Boxster->ke570 that's supposed to be unveiled next year at a still-to-be-decided international auto show.

In this video, a number of Porsche->ke1 engineers were caught on film recently testing the next generation of the Boxster in pretty cold weather conditions. While the styling cues of the 2012 Boxster looks to be the same as its predecessor, we're venturing a guess that what's underneath that hood is far different from the Boxsters that are out on the street these days.

Aesthetically speaking, Porsche has pretty much stuck to a tried-and-tested formula, albeit a few minor tweaks here and there. But even if the car's look a little too similar for our own liking, Porsche is expected to have the 2012 Boxster be lighter than the old model, which would then equate to better handling and a more fuel-efficient engine.
