If we asked you to name the fastest Chevrolet on the planet, many of you would probably answer a high-powered Corvette or Camaro. Those answers would inevitably be incorrect. Actually, we didn’t get it, either; at least until we found out about this replica Chevrolet S10 owned by Neal Darnell of Springfield, Missouri. The story behind this truck and the kind of power it has under its hood is a picture of human creativity and the lengths people will go to make an impression on history. You see, when Darnell purchased the Chevy truck, it already came with a Pratt & Whitney jet engine that produced a staggering 12,000 horsepower. Taking from his purchase, Darnell went out and sought some high-level training on how to tame his gargantuan beast while also receiving all the needed requirements - i.e. licenses from the NHRA and the IHRA Drag Racing - in order to have his truck be eligible for competition. Darnell even named his baby the ’Flash Fire Jet Truck’, which pretty much surmises what kind of monster this truck is. And with a name like that comes eye-popping performance figures that justify its billing: 0-60 mph in just 1.5 seconds, an ’average’ speed of 350 mph, and a top speed of 375 mph. Lord knows how Neal Darnell can withstand driving a car with this many horses under its hood. But for spectators like us, watching a truck emit insane amounts of flames from its rear end is like watching a rocket blast off into the horizon. .

Weird! It looks like a rocket, but it isn’t that so dangerous? I noticed that it had a cool design. I just wonder if they put this one in production.
Wow! The speed of this car is like a jet plane. The horse power is 12,000. Very great speed of car. I want to watch it in video? This kind of car has a video performance?
A whopping 12,000 horsepower is a blast! Never imagined how would you feel inside a car on the at full speed. A jet speed engine would be definitely a great idea to consider in the next car models.
Believe it or not, the deliver power output of this vehicle is 12,000 hp and its not a typographical error. I have double checked this fact. Jet engine really is impressive. I wonder if this has the same output with the NOx?
I don’t think that it will be legal to drive this jet engine powered vehicle. The deliver power output really is awesome. And I would say that this its deliver power output is better that than the Ultima Aero.
Absurd! I wonder how the car could handle that kind of speed. I also think that it is just an error. Look at the mph of the car. It delivers 375 mph so more probably it will come up with 1000+ HP!
Do you honestly think the SSC Ultimate Aero has more power than a jet engine? There was no error. Use your brain a little.
There was no typographical error, folks. This truck is powered by a jet engine with twelve thousand horsepower.
