Citroen GT Supercar dropped

citroen gt supercar dropped picture

In June of last year Citroen announced plans to put the GT by Citroen concept into production. It was supposed to be limited to only six units and priced for sale at $1.8 Million each. Well, that’s not going to happen anymore! Citroen’s plans for a production version have been dropped. Citroen, instead, has decided to focus on products that will bring in more money.

The final production version was supposed to be completely inspired by the concept, including the carbon-fiber construction and eccentric interior details such as the copper trim. Under the hood there was supposed to be the V8 engine found in the Ford GT.

The concept was designed for Gran Turismo 5. It features an electric drive train powered by a fuel cell with no pollutant emissions. It is a car designed to square up to the strongest competition. The car is the result of a partnership between Citroën and Polyphony, designer of the driving simulation game Gran Turismo 5 on Playstation 3.

Awesome! It looks unique on its style and design, and I noticed that it was oozing with aggressiveness on its front grille. By the way, I must say that choosing of body paint is truly nice.

The design is really unique and very futuristic. It is quite impressive though I think it is not reliable for a road trip but I love the different angst of this one.

Currently, I haven’t read any news about the production of the Citroen or what’s their future plans. Too bad that they need to dropped the GT Supercar!

Well, too bad that they need to dropped this concept. I was thinking that for a electric car this one seems good looking. However, the only downside would be the performance of the car. I never heard of a high performing electric unless Citroen would make one!

I really don’t like the front of this car. And its glass rooftop reminds me of electric car. However, I was thinking of this car can perform just like in the car game? The exterior is great and it makes me wonder on how it look from the inside.

Well, a good thing about the concept is, you can dropped it everytime the car company sense that it no one wants it! And Heck! I’d rather spend my million with Bugatti cars!

Most probably it would happen. I really don’t think that the cars off Citroen stands out. As the matter of fact, they are not the best option for sportscar. And there are a lot of GT car out in the market and will definitely perform better than this car.

Maybe it lacks charisma to the public that is why it became unpopular. Do you have the copy of the latest sales figure or negative comments left by owners? Let me know so that we can able to justify the reasons of dropping.

haha.I think Citroen gets scared with the tough competition in the market and its a good thing that they already forecast that they can’t sale six units for $1.8 Million! Well, I suggest they focus on upgrading their latest model.

With that design i don’t think that Citroen could sell that with the price of $1.8 Million! It was so ambitious their part. Well, at least they have awaken from their dream.
