Citroen Survolt rendering

Posted on by + 6

Citroen wowed us with their ability to create the GT supercar back in 2009. This performance monster was able to produce 789bhp and changed the opinion people held about Citroen only being able to produce small, fancy cars. Apparently, Citroen liked delving into the world of exotic speed and released a second concept called the Citroen Survolt earlier this year at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show . What we have here is a rendering of a production model of the Survolt created by Andrei Avarvarii. His production model loses the ridiculous rear wing, but stays true to the Citroen’s classic large, oval-shaped grill with slim, horizontal head lamps.

Not many details have been released in regards to the specs on this little beauty, but we imagine it would compete with vehicles such as the Peugeot RCZ and the Audi TT . These vehicles provide the consumer with three different engine choices with horsepower ranging from 156bhp to 211hp. If the engine on the Survolt is anything like the GT then we can safely say the Survolt could burn some rubber and leave these other two vehicles in the dust, but rumor has it this vehicle will have an electric drivetrain.

This rendering does provide us with a clear look at what a production model of this car could look like if it lost the edgier lines of the concept and gained the sophistication of Citroen’s smaller models. The history of the Citroen GT can tell us that we will probably only see a small number of these vehicles produced (only six GTs were produced) with a pricetag in the range of 1.5-2 million USD (GTs were priced at 1.8million). I don’t know about you guys, but I am buying two (in my dreams).

OK looks manacing right, but the price is a little bit high imagine 1.5-2 million USD for a car like this? I’d rather get my self a Bugatti Veyron than the survolt.

I really believe that they will achieve some success because of that kind of design, the design are so very special that you can almost imagine that you almost at the future when looking in that kind of car.

With its looks and futuristic design, electronic drivetrain is just right for it but i hope it can perform well as the article said.

It looks more of a futuristic car, and a mouth-watering design.

Competing with audi TT and Peugeot RCZ with the price of a bugatti veryron? Well I think that was an over price car don’t you think?

I agree with you on that, why does citroen declared the survolt with that kind of price? The price is very close to veyron bugatti and it even outprice the ferrari and porsche.
