The American tuner Dinan has become known as the premier BMW tuning shop here in the U.S. They have built a reputation for high horsepower reliability with a lineup of supercharger applications for a host of BMWs, however over the past few years, Dinan has been having a go at building high output race engines for Daytona Prototype race cars that compete in the Rolex Grand Am series of endurance events. Their latest work of art in motion is the Dinan S3 kit for both the BMW M5->ke2922 and M6->ke208 that includes both exterior and engine upgrades.

Using what they have leaned on the race track, Dinan increased the high revving power plant's displacement from an even 5.0 Liters all the way up to 5.7 Liters. With the help of a reprogrammed ECU Dinan is able to extract an amazing 628 HP and 480 lb-ft of torque from the reworked V10. The result is a full size premium sorts car that will rip from 0 to 60 MPH in only 3.8 seconds. Dinan is also offering a free flowing exhaust to handle the added spent gasses, a shorter 3.91:1 limited slip differential for enhanced acceleration and even power distribution across the rear axle as well as Stage 3 suspension setup to keep the plus sized Bimmer planted and a Dinan/Brembo big brake conversion behind a set of 19 inch lightweight Dinan alloys to ensure that the M will both stop and look as good as it goes.
