Logos are a pretty important factor in establishing your brand, especially when it involves a car that has a rich American history like the Dodge Viper. The venomous Viper has been in hibernation for the past two years, but now that it’s scheduled to slither back into showrooms, Dodge is hyping up the return by introducing a new logo for the American sports car.
Following in the wake of "Sneaky Pete" and "Fangs," Dodge is set to welcome "Stryker," the third official logo of the iconic Viper.
Designed by Chrysler designer and proud Viper owner Vince Galante, the new logo "Stryker" logo is the result of what Dodge wants to capture: the "sinister look" and "evil grin" of Sneaky Pete.
The stylized viper head is the most distinguishable feature of the Stryker. The slits on the eyes have a look of malicious intent, something that adds even more allure to the returning Viper while the fact that it carries the pose of a snake that’s coiled and ready to strike is a shout-out to Viper competitors, as if saying, "yeah, I’m itching to attack."
With the sports car’s return drawing closer and closer, we actually thought that it was a good idea for Dodge to package the new Viper with a lot of new elements. The new "Stryker" logo is just one-piece of the puzzle, but it’s a pretty important piece nonetheless.
