Cancer is one of those things the world can live without. On the other hand, Porsche is one of those things that we'd like to have more of on this planet.

So when you add these two things up, you're going to enjoy joining this fundraiser that the California Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society are cooking up.

Organized by cancer survivor Omar Dawood, the 10-week "Drive Away Cancer" is offering you a chance to win a 2010 Porsche Boxster. All you have to do is purchase a ticket at $100 a pop and you can be eligible to win this Boxster when it is raffled off. The goal, according to Dawood, is to raise $1 million by June 15, which means that if you want to do your part in raising awareness to combat this deadly disease, you have a little less than two months to donate a Benjamin for the cause.

While the Boxster is a pretty nice prize to take home for your good deed, we hope that you're not donating money just so you have a better chance of winning the car, but if it will get you to keep donating then by all means donate, donate, donate. Think Porsche, Porsche, Porsche. The more you think of that, the more money can be raised to combat this terrible illness. Of course, you could always just donate money solely for the cause. In any case, donations can be given by calling 1-877-LLS-CURE.
