Earlier this week, Democrat presidential candidate John Edwards called on Americans to give up their SUVs, saying he believed Americans would be willing to make the “sacrifice.”
Another case of do what I say, not what I do.
The vehicle the Edwards campaign uses to drive him around? A Cadillac SRX, mileage about 15 mpg. And, though his spokesman says that Edwards drives a hybrid SUV at his home, sources say that the Edwards garage includes a regular SUV and a truck.
And, anyway, Edwards didn’t call on Americans to drive hybrid SUVs. He said they should give up SUVs altogehther.
