One of the exhibitors from NexFest, Bill Dude, decided to take his electric motorcycle out for a spin. The bad news is that his throttle jammed, very bad thing to happen when you are driving an drag racer that hits the 60 mph in one second.
He hit a minivan and ended in the hospital. In an interview Bill Dude said: "More powerful than anything else, they last longer, they’re safer than anything else out there." Well, it seems he was wrong. You can never say that when you are talking about the world’s fastest electric motorcycle!
I presume that this incident put the first security risk of electric vehicle in the spotlight. Nothing that can be fixed but obviously super powerful electric engine seems to achieve 0-60 times so much faster than gas engine. We are certainly looking to a 0-60 time limit in a very short future. I am afraid the good old days are really coming to an end sooner than we think.
