Yes, the Buick Enclave tied the Toyota Prius as the hottest new car model for September.  The calculation is based on the number of days the car sits on the dealer lot before it is sold.  In the case of the Enclave, the average buyer was much younger than the average for other Buick models.  Almost half of the buyers were between 36 and 55.  Two-thirds of buyers were men.

Third on the lists was the BMW X5.  Lexus’ RX and the Saturn Sky tied for fourth, with the GMC Acadia sixth, tied with the Mercedes-Benz GL.  Hondas, the Fit and CR-V respectively, were eighth and ninth.  Ford’s Escape was in a three-way tie for tenth with the C Class Mercedes-Benz and the Lexus IS.
