Here’s something you don’t see every day.

Marine Colonel Doug Hurley burst into national consciousness after piloting the Endeavour space shuttle, which if you don’t know is the fifth and final space-worthy NASA space shuttle ever to be built.

At the recent Dickies 500, Hurley decided to make another one of his grand entrances, where he attended the race by flying in using a Chinook helicopter. But apparently, that’s not enough for the Marine colonel. After landing the Chinook in the middle of the race track, he comes out of the chopper behind the wheel of a Chevy Camaro->ke248 Pace Car.

Not a bad way to make an entrance, huh?
