Back in 1968, Ferrari unveiled the Daytona sports car, a model that stayed under production until 1973. During this period, Ferrari only produced 158 right-hand-drive units, but one of them was very special. It was loaned to Prince Charles for one week in 1973. It was then sold in July that same year for the sum of £9,250, or $13,172 at the current rates. The Ferrari then moved from its princely duties over to the big screen in a film by Top Gear. In this movie, the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 was driven by Richard Hammond and was put up against a £1.25m (about $1.7 million at the current rates) power boat driven by James May during a trip from Portofino to Saint-Tropez. This very same Ferrari will now be put up for auction on May 18th in the Historics auction at Brooklands. Of course, anyone looking for a price tag similar to the one paid in 1973 will be sadly mistaken. The 356 GTB/4 is powered by a 4.4 liter V12 producing 352bhp at 7500rpm. During the 356’s production time, the Daytona was the world’s fastest production car with a top speed of 175mph and 0-60mph time of 5.3 seconds.  When i see the engine performance of this car I think my jawed dropped on for that one! It was so amazing, v12 is a modern technology that produces great power plus its fuel efficient. I bet this one will cost in million dollar bucks!
 And if this one does become a hit in the auction, expect Ferrari to released the 365 in a special royal edition version. They are usually like that with these cars.
 Well, that one is the biggest factor why this car us expected to be a hit in the auction. The restoration team definitely did a great job on this one.
 Yeah, agree with you. The engine power is not the impressive. However, I was impressed with the restoration of the car. I bet the maintenance of this car is expensive.
 IMO, there’s nothing good about this car expect the fact that its vintage and driven by "His Highness". I bet this car is for collection/display purposes only.
 I wonder how much this one would actually fetch in the action. Considering that this is a used one, it might be less than expected, unless of course if they have kept it in a pristine condition.
 Face it, Hammond’s going to be the other reason (Prince Charles is the first) why collectors would be going after this car. It isn’t everyday that you get a car driven by the Top Gear boys.
 What the hell! I hate Richard Hammond! Imagine, he got this once in a lifetime chance to drive this novelty car!BTW, I do agree that the specs of the car is awesome, for v12 technology that uses 4 liter of fuel..wow! that was so fuel efficient!
