Even if the F430 replacement has only been seen on paper since the Italian automaker revealed the official information about the 458 Italia, we are still waiting to catch a glimpse of the future Ferrari in real life. Although this isn’t an unobstructed view, it is still quite an impressive sight covered in camouflage as the member of the Ferrari Chat Forum found out firsthand.
The Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by a 4.5 Liter V8 engine equipped with the traditional Ferrari flat crankshaft that gives the mid-engine sports cars their signature top end bark. The unit is slated to produce a maximum output of 570 HP at a rather high 9000 RPM, giving the future super car a very efficient 127 HP/Liter.
The Italia will weigh in at just over 3000 pounds making it heavy enough to be stable at very high speeds, while remaining light enough to maintain the kind of handling performance that we have come to expect from a mid engine Ferrari. The new Ferrari will rocket from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.4 seconds and won’t stop until it hits a top speed of 202 mph.
