Yesterday we reported that Ferrari will bring a 599 Roadster to the Pebble Beach concourse in California. Today we bring you the first render of the future car. It will be the fourth model in the 599 line-up, next to the 599 GTB, the 599 HGTE, and the 599 GTO.

The car will feature a folding-metal roof and will develop an extra 25 HP in order to counteract its extra weight. It will most likely carry the V12 engine delivering a total of 670 HP at 8250 rpm with a maximum torque of 620 Nm at 6500 rpm found in the 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO. Of course, there will have to be some modifications to compensate for the added weight. Like the 575 Superamerica launched in 2005, the new 599 cabrio will be offered in limited numbers.

The 599 Roadster's name has yet to be decided, but as we reported yesterday, Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo says it will have "an emotional, romantic name such as Italia or Fiorano."
