As if we needed another reason to absolutely fall in love with the Ferrari 599XX again. This time, this amazingly luxurious supercar established a new world record on the 20.832 km Nordschleife circuit: it become the first ever production-derived sports car to break the 7-minute barrier. The sports car managed an impressive lapping time of 6 min 58.16 seconds. Seriously, can it get any better than this car? The 599XX is powered by a V12 engine that delivers a maximum output of 700 HP at a screaming 9,000 RPM and is mated to an all new SuperFast gearbox that is able to swap cogs in a mere 60 milliseconds. The 599XX features Ferrari’s High-Performance Dynamic Concept, a novel integrated design and chassis set-up that uses sophisticated electronics to govern the mechanical limits of the handling for maximum performance. It’s amazing that this car was not designed for official competition use, but it keeps killing the track out there. We like, we love, we want it. Press release after the jump. Press release The Ferrari 599XX is the first ever production-derived sports car to break the 7-minute barrier on the classic 20.832 km Nordschleife circuit, lapping in 6 min 58.16 sec. 8 comments: Ferrari 599XX sets a new record on the Nürburgring See.. sometimes, it’s not because of the car. Drivers is also a factor to gain a record breaking speed. it’s just like a golf club and a golf ball.
599 is one of the most beautiful and most expensive super car.. ferrari is meant to drive fast, drive bad and push the pedal to the metal.
i saw all the times on that track iki/Nürburgring_lap_times and i think it broke the record for the fastest sports/race car because the 2 cars faster than that is only racers specially designed for racing from top to bottom. and the 599XX was first a sports car then they made it a racer. so technically they are in a different category.
That’s exactly what I meant. It’s obviously not street legal, but 6 minutes 58 seconds is certainly not the record for a racecar. So what I’m asking is if it’s not a street legal production car and it didn’t break the race record, what record did it break?
Man obviously its not street legal, because its a race car!if you looking for the street legal one its the 599 GTB. and obviously its not faster than a F1 car because ITS A
RACE CAR!if Ferrari would want to make a car faster than a F1 car than THEY WOULD!!! and the record it set was 6 mins 58.16. I think you should try READING MORE!!!
This thing isn’t even street legal, and it certainly isn’t as fast as an F1 car. Just what record did this thing set?
