Ferrari 612 successor spy shots

We’ve seen this Ferrari 612 test mule earlier this month, but this time there may be more info. A new rumor is suggesting that the stacked exhaust pipes and new hood are not part of a facelift, but a full-on replacement. The 612’s replacement could even feature a 4x4 system to provide a direct rival to the all-wheel drive Lamborghinis (although the 612 seats twice as many.)

What makes us a little skeptical that this is a whole new car planned for 2011, and not just a 612 touch-up, is Ferrari’s other plans. We know Ferrari is working on a successor to the F430, plus there are rumors of a refreshed 599 GTB , 599 Spyder and California Mondial . If even half of these rumors are true, Ferrari would likely be too busy to put together a whole new car.

I think Ferrari really is challenging everyone to come up with more promising and exciting performance cars that will sell this 2010.

The successor for 612 will definitely something that we may wish to know more about. But as mentioned isn’t if the Ferrari have been doing a lot of things these days? So how about another car to tune up?

I think what they really have to improve for 612 is more on the body kit to make it more attractive and appealing. That must be the first consideration that they must incorporate for the successor

Just a little information here about the 612. The 612 is Ferrari’s second all-aluminium vehicle, the first being the 360 Modena. Its space frame (developed with Alcoa) is made from extrusions and castings of the material, and the aluminium body is welded on. The chassis of the 612 forms the basis of the 599 GTB.

F 612 was designed to replace the 456 M. Its a four-seater so it gives more space. It pays homage to the custom 1954 Ferrari 375 MM. So this 612 with its full on replacement with 4x4 features is surely a Ferrari we may want to see coming out soon in the open. If this is for real and not just plain product of rummormills.

Ferrari too busy... with all these new line up? It seemed though, but as you can see this 612 successor which features 4X4 system as Lamborghini’s rival was rumored to be having a face lift only to find out that it was a replacement. Well, whatever is making Ferrari busy nowadays, making a new car or not, is something we have to checkout this coming weeks.
