Ferrari today announced U.K. pricing for the 2009 California: £143,000. This means the California will be placed between the F430 hard-top and spider. This also means we finally win in exchange rates. The California's price in the U.K. is about $255,000 at the current rates, but the F430 coupe costs about $185,000, while the drop-top F430 is between $201,000 and $218,000. So technically if the California slots in between the two cars, the U.S. will pay less than the U.K.--hooray weak dollar?

California is powered by a 4.3-liter V8 engine that delivers 460bhp through the rear wheels, with 357lb ft of torque on tap. Top speed is 192mph with a trick new seven-speed twin-clutch transmission helping the new drop-top to 60mph in under four seconds.
