Whereas most of its competitors have swallowed their pride and began producing four-door sports sedans, Ferrari->ke252 is hanging steadfast on its proclamation that hell would freeze over before anyone will ever see a production four-door Prancing Horse gallop out of Maranello.

That much was made clear by Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa when he made it emphatically clear that Ferrari wouldn't even consider traveling that road. “As Enzo (Ferrari) would say, we will never do four doors,” he said. “And we will keep this tradition.”

According to Felisa, the Maserati Quattroporte->ke336, which was made by its sister brand Maserati->ke51, will be the closest thing to a four-door sports sedan we'll see that has Ferrari ties to it.

“We stand 60 years and we never needed four doors. What never means, I don’t know, but one of the strong points of Ferrari is to keep the product in the right way. I’m not saying four doors is not right for the image, but it’s not part of our heritage.”

We're not particularly sure if this proclamation will last the test of time, but give it to the guy for sticking to the company's "heritage", something that a lot of its competition couldn't do.
