Ferrari Enzo successor will get a 700 HP turbocharged V8

Up until now we have only been speculating about what will power the Ferrari Enzo’s successor, but now we know for sure because according to source at Cars UK, Ferrari had to chose between another V12 or a boosted V8 developing somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 HP for the future F70 .

It seems that their source is a well connected Ferrarista that was looking to buy the new super car and of course he had a few questions. The first one being "What engine does it have?". The answer that followed was simply put, "V8". With the follow up question being, "What about turbo lag?". The reply he received from the cool and collected Ferrari customer service representative was, "Turbo lag is no longer an issue".

Ferrari has set their sights a little higher with the Enzo’s successor because the upcoming F70 will compete head to head with other high end super cars like the Lamborghini Reventón and Bugatti Veyron . Following Ferrari’s mantra of building one less model then they think they can sell, there will only be 399 F70s produced and will retail somewhere in the $1 Million range.

Uncia, we’re talking about the demonic supercars here, not the GT-type cars. I saw some information about the Enzo successor that have 900 HP but I don’t think it’s credible but still wants to share it to you guys. Reventon seems quite tough to beat and even the Veyron have the chance also to grab home the bacon.

The Veyron and Reventon are not competitors to the F70. The Veyron and Lambo may also be fast, but they can’t come close to the conering ability of even the previous Enzo. Its real competition is the Murcielago SV, LFA, CCXR and Apollo Sport.

Wow, that’s a big revelation you have there! A successor of 700 horsepower, what can you expect? But I think the Reventon may upset Enzo and Veyron. I have this feeling that the speed of Reventon is quite faster than the two even Enzo have the enhance V8 engine.

Their real target is or should be the LFA. Lexus released the LFA which slaughters the 599 GTB, so now Ferrari’s going to try to top Toyota. Judging by these two companies’ pasts, Ferrari will probably fail, as they did with the 550 Maranello developed to compete with the 512 TR-destroying Supra.

Another innovation from Ferrari, a simple idea will solve a huge problem, as we all know oil crisis is getting worse everyday.
