You might remember the tuner ASI from their recent work with a Bentley Continental GTC. The aftermarket parts manufacturer applies the same expert Japanese technical analysis to create a body kit for this Ferrari F-430. The aero kit consists of a new front bumper, side skirts and a redesigned rear bumper, these pieces have all the fit and finish advantages of the factory body pieces except their lightweight construction allows the kit to reduce the F-430’s curb weight by over 50 pounds.
Aside from the obvious performance advantages, ASI’s aero package turns the F-430 into a thoroughbred racer. The slightly larger air intakes up front along with the subtle scoop in front of the rear wheels, make ASI’s Ferrari look like it came straight from a round of FIA GT competition. We especially like the choice of black BBS racing wheels to finish off the white on black look. This vehicle’s racing charm doesn’t end with the exterior, if you notice the backs of those red racing buckets; they have the word BRIDE stitched across their fronts, one of the hottest brands in the world when it comes to JDM goodness.
The ASI F-430 is an interesting machine, starting life as an Italian exotic, only to be given a very Japanese sense of style. Not your typical Asian treatment either, no oversized wing, no body pieces that jut out into oncoming traffic; this F-430 is clean. The only thing that they are missing is a set of Takata harnesses to complete the very JDM, green on red interior.
