There certainly must be a lot of hype surrounding the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione because while the car itself is nowhere near its completion, a number of brands have already taken advantage of it by attaching their names to the custom supercar.

Girard-Perregaux is no stranger to producing racing-inspired watches so it seems fitting that they’re already releasing a watch to commemorate the P4/5 Competizione. True to their roots, the watch is nothing short of spectacular.

The black face comes with the same color scheme - red/white/blue/yellow - found in the P4/5 with an added touch of a 24-hour readout that commemorates the car’s impending debut at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring->ke999. On the back side, there’s a racing map of the Nurburgring that’s accompanied by Ferrari’s unmistakable yellow crest and the words ’24h Nurburgring 2011’ on it.

The metallic band completes the watch’s ensemble, giving it a shiny and luxurious finish. We’ve seen a lot of Ferrari-inspired chronographs in the past, but we have to admit, as far as first impressions go, this GP Ferrari P4/5 watch is one of the most striking Ferrari chronographs we’ve seen in some time.

No word yet on the availability of the watch but as soon as we find out, we’ll be sure to pass the information your way.
