First Dirt 3 Trailer hits the net; New screenshots revealed

The Dirt Franchise is back with its latest installment: Dirt 3. And its not just back, its back with fiery explosions, a weather simulator, and Ken Block’s "Monster" Ford Fiesta. True rally enthusiasts may not fancy Dirt 3, or even the whole franchise, but there is no denying, Dirt 3 looks good.

No details have been released on the new game, except that it is expected to hit the shelves sometime in 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 as confirmed by its creator, CodeMasters. As you can see in the trailer, the graphics will be just as astonishing as the highly successful Dirt 2. It also appears that we will get new stages of H20, rain, and snow, as well as over 50 rally cars and "double the track content" as the previous installment. All of which will add an exciting twist to your rally experience.

Dirt 3 may not be a true to heart rally game as much as being an Americanized translation of the sport, but it’s still an exciting interpretation of it. Let’s just hope it’s not all show and no go.

UPDATE 08/18/2010: Check out the new screenshots for Dirt 3!

oh! the video has been removed! Still i haven’t played this one. According to the hearsay Collin McRae games is much better compare to this one. let me try it before i could comment further.

I hope it comes out like a Richard Burns Rally 2

With DiRT 3 using the Ego engine that will be present in F1 2010, I feel like they’re going to step it up a notch with regard to the stages and physics. Plus, they are pretty good about listening to their fans via facebook and forums, and most of the people on there have been begging for more simulation-like rally.

Wow, that was extremely amazing pictures.

All i want for Christmas is GT5..lol

what a heck the police car is breaking the law..i feel shame for them.

Have you played Dirt 2? Because I have the same gripes about the physics, etc in 1, but 2’s physics and stages were much better. There need to be more of them and they need to be longer, but they were getting there.

Sounds like they scored the WRC license as well...this game should be pretty legit.

Actually I love drifting game..I don’t care if it’s a simulation game, flash game.. Basically the point of car games is to entertain the player and lessen his boredom. So therefore as long as the game excited me.. well, I love it.

I am a rally fan. I am not excited about this game at all. The Collin McRae games were incredible rally simulations that were challenging yet rewarding. DIRT, is the complete opposite. All glitz and bling, no substance. The cars handled like crap, the physics were completely arcade-like, and instead of actual rally stages, you’d do laps on made up unrealistic courses.

Whatever it is I always like car games.

Keyboard and mouse support? Really? That would be great

nice, i hope they also include the Lancer EVO TM edition here even though it’s already 15 years since it’s existence. still it has the performance of a modern evo that can smoke the subaru and focus.

Not too interested in the cartoonist destruction of what once was worth baring Colin Mcrae’s name. First Dirt was okay though.
