’’For me it’s important to create a vehicle that’s so sexy you’ve just got to have it, and later you find out that you can go 80 kilometers (50 miles) without using any gas,’’ said Henrik Fisker. 75% of Europe’s population spend every day driving their cars with maximum 70 km/h. Designed togheter with the Irvine, California-based Quantum Technologies, the Fisker Karma uses a new type of lithium-ion battery capable to suffer no harm from the overheating problems, which made the large automakers to shy away from the technology. The Karma is capable to travel 50 miles on a single battery charge and over 450 miles when it uses the fuel reserve. When we talk about recharging the vehicle things are even better. The car can be recharged in three and a half hours.
