Back in May, we heard the wonderful news that Jim Glickenhaus was going to start working on a Ferrari P4/5 Competizione after an eternity of rumors hinting at the possibility. Since then we haven’t really heard much about it, but, luckily, Jalopnik received an email from Mr. Glickenhaus himself with a rendering of the future Competizione along with a few details. The Ferrari P4/5 Competizione is being built on a Ferrari 430 Scuderia base and will feature the suspension and V-8 drivetrain of an F430 GT2 ALMS racing car. We won’t be able to see the actual final product until the 2011 24-Hour Nürburgring Race or sometime right before that. To be honest, we don’t even know where builders are on this project as everything is extremely hush hush. Don’t auto guys like leaking stuff? Where are our leaked photos, guys?! Another piece of good news surrounding the P4/5 Competizione is the fact that it will not only be made into a racing car, but it will also be created as a street legal model. The excitement just keeps mounting! We’ll keep you posted on any additional information we may receive on the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione. .
11 comments: First Look: Ferrari P4/5 Competizione I thought it was a ’car toy!’ hahaha. The car is so attractive, the colors were extremely a good combination to the body. A sportscar like this should not be ignored.
Just recently, Ferrari P4/5 Competizione makes it first appearance on Nurburging and attempts to make a record. However, too sad, they haven’t announced the lap time.
if the idea comes to reality i can almost bet there will be countless of kit cars that will soon come from it
Yeah, that paint scheme isn’t doing the design any favors. If the blue were white or yellow, it’d work a lot better.
"the original P3/4 was a homologous race car, harking back to the days when you could drive your machinery to the track, race for the day and then blast back home."
is this featured to the new Ridge Racer game? it looks exactly the same as the one that I saw on the demo.
All we can do is hope that it gets killed in the first scene. I’m not one to usually criticize but it looks like it was colored by a 3 year old out of a color by numbers book.
people like Glickenhaus, Alex Roy, anyone who makes their dream to race with the big boys a reality... that really makes my day .
