Back in May, we heard the wonderful news that Jim Glickenhaus was going to start working on a Ferrari P4/5 Competizione after an eternity of rumors hinting at the possibility. Since then we haven't really heard much about it, but, luckily, Jalopnik received an email from Mr. Glickenhaus himself with a rendering of the future Competizione along with a few details.

The Ferrari P4/5 Competizione is being built on a Ferrari 430 Scuderia base and will feature the suspension and V-8 drivetrain of an F430 GT2 ALMS racing car. We won't be able to see the actual final product until the 2011 24-Hour Nürburgring Race->ke999 or sometime right before that. To be honest, we don't even know where builders are on this project as everything is extremely hush hush. Don't auto guys like leaking stuff? Where are our leaked photos, guys?!

Another piece of good news surrounding the P4/5 Competizione is the fact that it will not only be made into a racing car, but it will also be created as a street legal model. The excitement just keeps mounting!

We'll keep you posted on any additional information we may receive on the Ferrari->ke252 P4/5 Competizione.
